Plexiglass and lighting

Hi guys,

I was looking into getting a lighting fixture for my refugium in my sump. The light fixture would sit on plexiglass. Am I losing a lot of light in the refugium with it being on plexiglass?

I don't think light intensity is a huge issue for a fuge to begin with, and acrylic won't absorb all that much light anyway. It should be fine.
