Question Marco Rocks versus Bulk Reef Supply?

I am trying to make a decision about what base rocks (I will be cooking/cultering them myself) will be going into my new 40Br Reef. I am interested in Marco Rocks 50 lbs Fiji Box (They are out of stock), but have heard some less than steller reviews as of late.

A little more looking and I discovered Bulk Reef Supply's Fiji Box (about the same price... $130). I am looking for opinions about their base rock. Should I wait for Marco Rocks to get more stock, or is BRS's rock quality stuff?

Many thanks

I got BRS's spaghetti rock and am VERY pleased w/ it. Great price, came packed nicely and I liked the look of that particular rock. I would sock it for a few days or so, I found some "stuff" that was coming out of some of the holes in the rock after soaking... just some grass heads or something..nothing major. Anyway, if I ever need anymore base rock I'll definitely be getting that stuff again.

I would get their Spaghetti Rock but don't feel like my Zoo's, Ricordeas, and possibly mushrooms would grow well in it. That's why I was looking at the Fiji Rock... I do love that spaghetti rock though.. it's pretty and I'm sure benefits a lot of organisms

I got some fiji base rock from bulk reef supply and loved it, really nice pieces large and small. I also wrote in the comments that they were referred by reef central folk, thinking that might get me some nice pieces. I dont know if that helped or not but I am really happy with my rocks.

dzeadow the grass seed in your rock is very interesting.

I ordered the spaghetti rock from Marco and it too had grass seed
coming out after putting it in the tank. That makes me wonder if
brs and marco get there supply from the same place.

I was happy with my spaghetti rock I got from Marco here's some pics.

maybe they do. All I know is if they do, they're storing it outside obviously. I didn't have any issues w/ it other than having to go pic out these wheat head lookin things out of some of the holes up to 2 weeks after putting in the tank. Just weird is all!

and maybe it will be ok...
