Corallife Digital Power Center
I was thinking about ordering one of these. I'm really having trouble keeping my old school click-click timers turning on and off the lights properly.
Does anyone have one of these? How do you like it? Does it have a clock? Can it turn the actinic lights on before, and off after, the white lights? Is there a better option out there? Thanks. |

I have it. Its alright you can only have one time for things to go on and off. You can not have your actinics go on at a different time then say your MH. You can only have your fuge light go on if the MH are off. so its one timer and when that lighting goes out you can have the other set go on until the mh light go back on. Does that make sense. I mean its nice because it works as a power strip and a timer but it does not have multiple timers for each outlet. HTH

There is a two timer model (not a digital model tho) which allows you to have your actinics go on whenever you want. You can plug in your main lights to sockets that when turned off, activate the sockets for moon lights. There is a totally separate timer that then can be used to turn the actinics on indepentantly. I have the one timer model and plan on getting the dual.

Yeah to me the way taht they describe the digital model is deceiving cause it makes you think that each socket is a timer and its not its just that all those outlet can be set to a timer not each individual socket which was the purpose for buying in the first place. But the digital is easy to set compared to the dial ones in my opinion but the dual timer might be the way to go for me I am waiting to get a controller

Thanks, guys. Maybe I will wait a bit and research some more.
I don't know how important it is to have the lighting come on gradually (actinics then white lights) . But that's kind of the way I've been doing it and I'd like to stick to that. |

I have the non digital dual timer and one of the timers quit working on me in short order. I posted this earlier but then realized i was talking about a different timer then he was asking about. The Woods outdoor timers at walmart are heavy duty and work great for me, they also repel water when hung properly. |
