Post need help

hey,

Thought of adding a DSB(at least 3") on my current 4 mnth old display tank(FO with some corals) using a grade 0 sand. I was just wondering if it gonna affect any of my LS?

Thnx

Yes, it kill some, if not all of your LS.

To Reef Central

if you add about 1" of sand on one side of the tank, then a week later add another 1" to the other side of the tank then a week later start all over till you get to the depth you want you will be fine just don't cover the whole sandbed at the same time.

I hope that you know he was referring to live sand (LS) not live stock (LS). If you want the denitrification value from a deep sand bed you might consider a remote deep sand bed. Discussion of this is on a sticky in the advanced section.

And welcome to reef central!!
