2 mo. old uvl sa's gone dark?.

What do you guys think bad bulb/ballast?. the bulb is on but real dark almost barely on.. I switched the bulbs to a different location and it's the bulb thats dark. There only on about 12 hrs. daily?. bad bulbs?.

Have you tried another bulb in the same ballast?

If your talking about T5's, the same thing happened to me with UVL Superactinics. One went dim and the other completely died. Both were only a few months old.

I would try giving UVL a call and see if they'll replace it for you.

I had same prob with a Superactinic, was a loose cap on the bulb

i had the same thing happen with a UVL aquasun.
i had it for two months. gave it to a friend and after a while it turned really dark red. weird. it was really bright when i gave it to her. sounds like there might be a problem with UVL bulbs

wow really?? I replaced 4 and 2 only went dark?? thanks guys
