E6000 adhesive for acrylic overflow?

would E6000 adhesive bond pieces of black acrylic together to make an overflow box? I am looking for something thicker than weld-on 3 or 4, and I thought with weld-on 40 you had to do something weird to the acrylice (heat it and cool it quickly)

Acrylic bonding is best done with the appropriate solvent / cement. I wouldn't rely on E6000.

If you want something thicker, try Weld-On 16, comes in a tube.
