Dead rock, Dead sand and a cycle?
I am putting together a 10g nano with some left over stuff. I have some bleached dry base rock and some dry sand. I pre cleaned the rock and sand before I put this together and used some change over water to start with. The tank has been running for a week now I did some test and it seems I am going through a cycle. I guess its from the things in the dry sand and rock?
I have never set up a tank before my main 54g corner was already started when I moved it. Anyone have a idea whats going on? Thanks Dave |

i think you need to seed the dead rock by putting a piece of live rock in there. For a ten gallon a small piece from your other tank should do the trick
