Water is still not clear..
So after doing some things suggested by TSwifty and Capn my water is still not clear. I have 2 K2's and 2 K3's, I did notice a difference when I turned off the K3's but my anemones look happier with them on. The return section of my sump is clear but the main tank has particles galore and the PH's are not moving the sand... Is it that the K3's are blowing the substrate off the rocks and overtime it will reduce? Oris it my Diamond Goby moving the sand around?

Probrobly a little bit of both. Running a filter sock or a polishing filter can help clear some of the particulates out, but you will most likely always have some. I have a lawnmower blenny that acts like a tazmanian devil sometimes in the sand. I also have a wrasse that will make mushroom clouds of sand if he's looking for a new place to sleep. Also what appears to be particulates sometimes can just be micro bubbles.

I am running a filter sock and carbon.
Any help if they are bubbles? I have no bubbled in my return section so the bubbles are being caused in the tank. I love my diamond back goby but he may be replaced if he doesn't pipe down on the sand party ![]() |

Ya my Blenny is a keeper. He's just too funny to watch.
I've noticed bubbles from time to time when I have to much surface agitation from the powerheads. If that were the case then would just be a matter of adjusting the powerheads. Also I believe filter socks come in different sizes. Thats a potential issue. |
