Understanding how to place baffles

Want to make sure I do this once and right. I purchased a 30 L with the dimensions of 36 x 12.5 x 16. I plan to have the tank drain into the far right chamber that houses the protein skimmer. The second chamber will be the fuge. Finally the third chamber will be the return
pump area.

What would be the opinion of a how to place the bubble trap going from the skimmer chamber to the fuge ... how tall should I make the bubble trap. I'm imagining | |

Forgive the crude drawing, finally how tall should the divider between the fuge and return area being, I'm thinking slightly smaller than the shortest baffle so water can flow.

Sorry for these newb questions

Forgot to add that the DT is a 95 gallon wave aquarium, don't know how much overflow I need to account for

Also I believe my refuge area is around 10" wide. Try and look through sump build threads in the diy section.

Good luck

I suggest you read up at melevsreef.com for much valuable information. The bubble trap with determin your water height in the sump so that depends on where you want your water line to be at. The crude drawing makes absolutely no sence to me. I think that site will answer most of your questions.
