Should eat any meaty food as long as it can get it in it's mouth. Just keep in mind that smaller bits are easier to digest than big bits.

Over the years I have fed silverside, krill, and squid to my anemones. Plus what ever I fed the fish.

And "oldschooldino" is right, smaller pieces are better.

Keep in mind though that anemones are just like fish. They don't need much food to do well. Unlike fish though, instead of getting fat (like all of my fish), they just get bigger and split. That might be something you are interested in, but sometimes it is a pain in the rear when you come home and your anemone has split and the daughter has landed on one of your prize corals and decides to hang out. I have found that the more you direct feed, the faster you will get a split.

Sounds awesome. I have seen pics of a tank full of RTBA's. I bet if you searched posts from Anemone (RC Admin) on this forum you will find some.

haha... only if thier sting actually hurt! Actually, the sting doesnt hurt, but if you have an open cut and the tentical touches it you can feel a little pain!

I had a RBTA and in about a year it split 5 times. Heavy feeding, good lights, and good flow are the keys.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but whatever....Also, if you have a BTA that is getting large and you want it to split i discovered take a powerhead and point it right at him. He will get very defensive and retract into himself and usually split that night.

With all that being said, I think a 20g might be a little small as well. When my RBTA opened up during the day it was at least 7-8'. Thats almost 1/2 your tank!

actually that is a good idea mentioning here. Quite often fish don't receive the necessary fish oils and other nutrients that they need from our feedings. Because we feed the whole silversides--guts and all--it provides that extra sometimes not met, source of nutrients

I did read that on another post---I checked it out with my supplier---he told me that you have to be careful where you are buying them from as they can absorbs toxins from the water where they were harvested. But he assured me that he deals with a quality supplier which whom he has never had any problems with.
