JBJ ATO Not Working? Install Wrong?

Im trying to install my JBJ Auto Top off unit and its not working. I am using a maxi-jet 900 for the pump. I have 1 float valve in the sump and one in the resevoir. Sensor one light is on and sensor light 2 is off. Can someone help me out? Is this thing supposed to pump water instantly? Thanks

Yes when it turns on, the pump turns on right away and the yellow pump light will be lite when powered. But will only run for 8 minutes or so then a fail-safe shuts it off even though the lite stay lit.

Play with the switches manually to find the correct settings to use. You might have the switch on the side in the wrong position and or the sensors are reversed in the sockets.

Well I even tried running it without sensor number 2 in the resevoir and its not working. So it instantly turns on when the float valve drops down?

Try it with one sensor plugged into slot one and switch in Mode A postion. When the float drops the pump light should come on and the pump starts.
