Red Bubble Algae? How to get rid of it -NOT Green Bubble
I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of red bubble algae? I am sure I could probably be doing more frequent water changes.
My tank is a 12 gallon nano and since just about the very start every few weeks a red bubble algae would grow. I've cut them out and now they are populating on the back wall. I have added another pump so there is more flow. Overall the tank is healthy other than some minor green algae that will show on one rock, and the red bubble algae. This stuff looks like the green bubble algae, and when you cut it if you aren't careful it has a goop that pours out. I am aware that the goop probably spreads them so I am very cautious. Before I jump in with a razor blade and turkey baster, is there any other method of getting rid of this stuff, or preventing it?

I had this on my main tank and the way I had to solve it was by adding more flow , change phos media every two weeks and lowering the light cycle. I would also syphon them out with a python that I modified to have a smaller mouth to increase the suction power.
