ID help please
It's furry and neon green. Seems to take over and on anything and feeds off of light. Anybody know what it is called?

It's not that. Sounds stupid but it is sold at the lfs and they gave me a piece for free but I forgot what it is called. I can't submit a photo. It looks like hair almost.

Green star polyps!! That's it!
Any suggestions on how and where to place it? I was told to use gel based super glue and to be careful because they can and will take over whatever they are on. Thanks!!! |

put it where it can get light. You'll know if it's doing well. It's polyps will be extended and the coral will start spreading. If you have good conditions and good lighting it will take off and cover everything, which is "bad" in some people's eyes and that's why your LFS gave you some for free. Personally I think having it all over a rock is cool, but when it starts to encroach on another corals territory, its time to do some lawn care. What are you using for lighting and water flow? Also, what are you water levels like (ph, alk, amm., n02, n03, calcium, magnesium, phosphate). If you want corals, you should be testing for all of the above. Do some research on GSP care, but it is easy as long as you have decent lighting and water params.
