Amphipod??? Good or Bad

I have just started up my tank about a month ago and put my first shrimp in today. Its a 75 gallon tank and I believe I have also found my first amphipod. I keep reading good and bad stories about these things. I pulled him out and put in a jar, not sure if its trash or stick back in the tank.. Please help

I have probably... 500 in my tank/refugium. They're good eating for fish.
