glass-holes.com overflows?

Is anyone using the overflow kits from glass-holes.com ?
How do you like them? They seem neat but having to put the blukhead in "backwards" scares me a bit, as does the lack of a strainer. It seems like a flood waiting to happen but maybe I'm wrong.

Anyone have actual experience? How loud are they?

A friend of mine has one and loves it. I saw it and was impressed. I highly suggest buying one. They are made locally here in CA.

I have the 1500gph kit and run it with a gen x 30 pump with a scwd on a 40g breeder.
The overflow works great and it is fairly quiet and was easy to install.
I have installed many bulkheads "backwards" with no problems.
Don't know what you mean by a strainer on an overflow, unless you mean the teeth on the box.
I put gutter guard on the top of the box for jumpers.
Never had a failure or flood.

I would use the kit again on another tank if it wasn't RR.

Until you posted it the other day, I had not heard of the them. Their kit seemed a little costly considering. But if you didn't have the stuff laying around and wanted an all-in-one-make-it-happen package, it looks ok

They are amazing. I have two of them, they are much nicer than having a large box that goes the full height of the tank and only can pull 1000gph at the absolute max. They are well worth the money and very easy to install by yourself.
