Eheim Pump????

I have a Eheim 1250 on my skimmer. If I plug it in to a GFCI protected outlet it trips. If it is plugged in to an unprotected outlet it is fine. I have a ground probe in my tank and don't notice any electrical "leak".

Thoughts?

Sounds like something wrong with the pump. I have the same pump and it doesn't trip the gfi.

Two things I would look at.

1) Try another GFCI to see if you might be overloading that circuit with the addition on this pump

2) Make sure the ground wire for the pump is truely grounded (inside the pump).
