I used it when I first set up my tank. Lots of live stuff in it, no issues here.

I got some when setting up my refugium, frankly I tought it was just a bunch of decomposing mud from cleaning their rock curing baths. In my case I feel it just extended the cycle as it had to cure all the dead stuff in it.
IMO live rock alone has more than enough of the stuff needed.

ya, jdieck i was totally unimpressed with the garf grunge and the entire garf place, god its just a guy and his wife answering the phone. you know there just a couple of old stoners who thought of the idea to make a web site and sell frags and stuff. seriously this grunge looked like regualr old gravel and pure mud, i was so mad when i put it in my tank and i knew i didnt want to do it somthing was just screaming NOOOOOO, but in it went cause "they" said it was good...

I personally have not used any of Garf's item but the person I bought my tank from used grunge and spoke very highly of it and recommended I use it as well. I looked into it but it was too expensive for me. He also bought his CUC from them and would replenish his CUC each year by ordering from Garf.
