Bulb recommendation

I just got a 250 SE Lumenarc III reflector with an elctronic Icecap ballast. I like the look of the 14k Phoenix, but they don't make a SE bulb. What SE bulbs out there are similar to the 14k Phoenix?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Reeflux 10k. The pheonix is not that blue on my hqi ballast. I use reeflux 10k's on my display and a pheonix 150 de on my frag tank.

I like how the Phoenix is not that blue but not yellow also. Is the Refflux blue, yellow, or white?

I was thinking getting a Radium 20k or XM 20k.

The Reeflux is more white than blue. It has a heavy actinic spike but you really don't visually see it. The corals like it though.

XM 20k will be blue. I like them too as tried on of them out one a months back.

The Aquaconnect 14K SE is supposed to be the same exact spectrum as the Pheonix 14K DE.

I agree with Candy Girl, you can get the Aquaconnect but it not worth the $100+ per bulb IMO. Maybe look at the Helios, it will be abit more blue but it will make the colors pop abit more then the pheniox and give you almost as much par.

Radium is another good option.

WHen Snajay came and spoke at our club meeting in February he said the Helio 20K is the bluest bulb on the market. Now that has to be very blue to be more blue than the XM20K

I liked the XM 20K but it is also pretty dim, especially compared to the Radium.

Agree Aquaconnect is no way worth $115 that ridiculous. I have always wanted to try one but that price tag is over the top

I looked into the Reeflux, and they have a 10K and 12K. How much bluer are the 12K?

they are quite a lot bluer; unfortunately the PAR sucketh, especially compared to the 10K. Nicer to look at though if you're not worrying about your SPS getting enough light.
