Water Containers?

We're getting ready to move a 90 gallon tank from about 1 hour away to here. Is there any specific type of container we want to use to transfer the water? Will the plastic interfere with the water chemistry? seems like a simple question, but I can't find an answer anywhere. First we thought powerwashed garbage cans with lids, since they've only ever had trash bags in them - but I don't know. Do they need to be food grade containers? It's a question we'll need to answer when we get the water from the pet store, too. how to transport it?

thanks for any help you can give me.

You could use a garbage can, however I would buy a new one if your going to use a garbage can. I would recommend using a few of the 5 gallon buckets available of like home depot or other hardware stores. Containers get really really heavy when you fill them with water and several 5 gallon containers would be much better then a couple extremely heavy garbage cans.
Check out this link, Marc has some great moving tank instructions.

I used 5 18gallon rubbermaid containers from walmart with lids. The lids not only kept things from splashing, but retained the heat pretty well. Make sure EVERYTHING is covered with water, including liverock.
