DE 250W 20k radium bulb?

Does anyone know if Radium plans on making a DE version of their 20k MH bulb?

bummer.... well hopefully they will come out with a DE sometime here soon. I really like the look of the 12k reflux, but want something with a little more blue in it. Right now I am running the 12k on the coralvue ballast in a lumenbright reflector. Corals are growing like crazy, and color up nicely. I would use t5/VHO for supplemental light to give me some more blue, but with the reflector over a 40 breeder, that is out of the question no room. I guess I could look at purchasing a LB SE but the wife would probably have my head. In anycase thanks for the info!

Most people want a DE version because it would be 'HQI' then, unlike most SE bulbs which are 'probe start' and cheaper. Well, the 250wattSE Radium is actually HQI rated (wont even start on a M58 ballast usually, and if it does, its not good for the bulb), so there really is no reason to want a DE version of it. Its a pretty sweet bulb as is... even if it means you need to get mogul sockets.

I went to the 250 watt SE Radium for my two main lamps on Icecap ballasts for my 120 gallon tank and have four 54 watt T-5 for dusk and dawn and the tank never looked better. Had 8 T-5 bulbs before.

Some one in the RC mentioned, if run those 250 watt SE Radium on the M80 Ballast (like PFO, HQI). The color will shift after 6 months of average 7-8hrs per day Photoperiod. Is it true? Since the bulb is designed for HQI rated, wont' it last longer with M80 ballast?

How long you run those radium bulbs before the replacement?
