The Aquactinics has better reflectors, signifigantly better actually. The Aquactinics will put more light into your tank with higher par at deeper depth with the 5 bulbs compared to the Nova Pro's 6 bulbs. That's bulb for bulb. The Nova pro isnt a bad fixture and works great for alot of reefers. Grimreefer recently did a test of several fixtures and basically found the Nova Pro's to be capable at depths shallower than 16" - 18" or so. This could be a problem for keeping clams or high light corals down low in deeper tanks such as your 24" deep 90 gallon. Then again, there are reefers that report doing just that with the Nova Pro and everything thriving. Personally, I would go with the TX5 if it was in good shape because it is simply the more effective fixture and if you can't keep something wherever you want to with the TX5 because of lack of light then there is no way you would be able to keep it with the Nova pro.

tx5 is bright i keep 2 12k ati blue special, 2 geisemann blue plus actinic, and 1 geisemann powerchrome pure actinic, and this fixture is bright i keep ricordea on sandbed because up midway in my 75 gallon there is so much light they stay small and not opened up have to move them to shaded area, but my zoos love it.

do it right, get the TX5, that's a good price for used, depending on condition and age. i know someone in the Bay Area that has a cancellation on a brand new TX5 with bulbs for $100 less than original price and that's a good deal too.
