Phosban and Carbon Reactors, do they work?

My recent pump death has inspired me to update my setup and I'm considering running an inline phosban and carbon reactor (2 seperate reactors).

Does anyone still use these, and what are your thoughts on them?

Also, if you use one, was it store bought or DIY?

I run Two Little Fishies Phosphate 150 reactor with Phosban and I have zero readings consistently. As for carbon, I use ChemiPure Elite in the sump and not in a reactor. I do have a huge fuge running Ecosystem method.

I was thinking about running a Phosban reactor and Carbon Reactor inline and in series like this:

return line --> Phosban Reactor --> Carbon Reactor --> Sump

The return line would be split and run through a valve so I could regulate the flow through the reactors, which I was told needs to be very low.

Any issues with this setup?

I run two TLF 150 Reactors. One with Phosban, one with Seachem Matrix carbon. They are set up in line MaxiJet in sump-PhosBan-Carbon-back to sump. My water is clear and tank is 100% hair algae free.

Your setup would work, but it might just be easiest to run them off a dedicated pump. It doesn't need to be anything big. Maxi-Jet 400 is more than enough for both reactors.

This will work. You will need that gate valve becasue your return line may be too powerful for the phosban reactor to be honest. The GFO needs to have a slow controlled flow because if it's too powerful it will crush the gains and cause a mess.
