SPS Tank Moved to a Bigger Tank.

Hi, I am in the process of trying to aquire a bigger tank to move my smaller tank into. I was wondering if I could get some tips on how to make the move go smoothly? I can have the new tank set up and probably run for 2 to 3 weeks before transfering it all over.
In those weeks I was planning on doing water changes on the smaller tank and putting the aged water into the new tank. Not sure if I can get completely cured rocks or not. I don't want to use much rock in this tank. I also am not sure if the rock I have isn't enough . I currently have a 65 gallon and am thinking of going up to a 105 gallon tank. But any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chris
