Flow Question on Wavemakers

Hello,

I am setting up a small 55 gal reef system with 20 gal sump and I have a question on water flow. I know I need to get around 20x turnover. I am going to use two Oceanrunner 2500s on a closed loop with an Iwalki 40RLT on the Return. I was thinking about making an external wavemaker box using one of those Resun or MJ mod pumps. These wavemaking devices really seem to do a good job of keeping the detrius off the sandbed and I like the "realism" of the whole thing.

I am not sure how the wavemaking devices figure into the total flow needed on the system. I was hoping I could axe one of the Oceanrunners with the wavemaker running? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
