DT water issue.
Well i finally got the substrate into my DT. I washed it out completely (so i thought??) until water was clear.
I put it in the DT and started filling her up. I stopped about 1/4 of the way because of this: I don't know whether it is just "cloudy" due to the sand or if i messed up and did not rinse it well. I have two 57g underwater filters i picked up at Petsmart a few hours ago running in the DT. Should i just wait until the morning to see if it settled or just change all the water? Any help, or info, would be appreciated. Al

That is just from the substrate Al, if you fill the tank up and run your power heads for 24 hours it should clean up
I think the underwater filters are resting on the substrate and stirring things up--if you put some more water in you can suspend them above the substrate

Water then rock then sand. You will get this cloudy water but it will calm after a week or so. A HOB media filter will help remove the fine stuff.

Iv heard that those under-gravel filters are really horible, if thats replacing your skimmer, i dont think it was a smart choice.

Well the only reason i am using the underwater filter is because i have not filled the tank all the way to have the water running down the overflow and into my sump with the skimmer. The underwater are just to help out a little as i finish filling up the tank.
