Help SPS + Brown Algae = BAD
So my beloved Becker Tort is beginning to be attacked by this unknown brown algae!!! Can anyone identify this stuff and assist me with a diagnosis and cure so I can save my Becker Tort
65g system Water paramaters: Sal: 1.025 PH: 8.3 Temp: 77ΒΊ Nitrates: 0 Nitrites: 0 Phospahates: 0 Ammonia: 0 Calcium: 450 Alk: 10.2 Mag: 1350 I do small weekly water changes 5 gallons. I use reefers Best Salt, I have a phosban reactor running, Tunze 9010, VorTech and closed loop generating 40x flow. I don't over feed the tank if anything I under feed.

FYI.... It does not attack the green of pink birdsnest! In addition the zoos have lost there brilliance, they seem dull.

There are a few reasons but flow is often the culpret. SPS perfer good strong flow over any fancy MH. This may help.GL

So is it best to dip this coral to eliminate the bacterial infection? How is this done?
