White growth looks like spanish moss
I just started a 150 gal tank. When I put the live rock in (4 days ago) it appeared to have growth looking like spanish moss growing in several places. The rock had been shipped, and had been out of the water about 36 hrs. I left it, and it appears to be growing---just looked at the 06 reef central alage pictures, but found none that looked like this. Anyone have any ideas-- is it good, bad, or otherwise, and should it be removed>I am sure someone will know---have really enjoyed reading the posts.

It could be fungi. It looks kinda like a spiderweb mat on your rock. Any pics?

No--not like a spiderweb---like spanish moss---white or ivory in color---could also look like roots.
