Brown Algae

My 90 gal is starting to bloom brown algae on the rocks and in the sand how can i go about fixing this?

sounds like diatoms , they will go away on thier own after your tank cycles. a pic will make a acurate id

its pretty normal like ihavtats said, its part of the cycle and will go away on its own, no worries

Limiting silica or more lighting may help as well. I've seen some data where diatom growth is inhibited at higher light levels (in Marine Ecological Processes, Valiella)
