Advice needed!!

I just came back from vacation and while we were at the beach my kids picked up a bunch of shells well we got to rinsing the shells we noticed that most are filter clams still alive. Will they cause any harm if I throw them into my reef tank?

I'd say if in doubt, don't do it. If your tank is only a 29 and those little guys are toxic, or they die causing an ammonia spike, it could be detrimental to your system. It it were me, I'd say it ain't worth it.
