Just my option, each 250 watt MH draws 6 amps at its peak, and this times three is to much for a power strip let alone a single outlet.

I run one, and have no problems, it has 3 250 m/h with 4 96 watt actinics, so that's 1134 watts on a 15 amp gfi
works fine |

This light has 5 plugs, one each for each pair of actinics, one for the end two m/h's, one for the center m/h, and one for the night led's. I love this light. And I believe the m/h's draw 3 amps each, I think I saw that in the manual.

Electronic Ballasts? 3 amps isint bad, you are only probably drawing a total of 11 amps

The ballast are the big power supply looking ones, they are not the electronic ones, they are in nice black metal cases, heavy. That's the m/h, the actinics are electronic.

I run three electronic halide ballasts on a Neptune Heavy Duty DC4. The draw is probably about 10 amps, but the DC4HD is build to handle it.

I don't think you will be disappointed, I went from a 264 watt compact to what I have now, man what a difference, So much more is going on. I like the screw in ones better you get more spread on the reflector.
