Please take the advice I was given....

Buy a bigger/better skimmer than you think you need. Then you won't have to replace it when you upgrade tanks.

well either hang on, or a smaller sized one for my sump.

I agree, on the buy bigger, better, but I am not going to be upgrading for years....unless a chance miracle.

I have heard Ramoras are of good value. how is the in-sump version of it?

Hey, that's what I said! But upgrading was a mere 8 months away due to the severity of the reefkeeping bug.

I would choose an in-sump over a hob. On the off chance they overflow, your floor is okay.

ASM and Euro Reef are really popular around here. I have an ASM, and think it's great. You could find a G1 or G2 to fit your sump.

I had a aqua c remora pro on my 90 and it pulled alot of junk ended up buying a bigger skimmer for my 90 and put the remora on my 55 it does a great job. Very happy with it.

Thanks for the input.

I am looking at an Urchin pro, rated 40-120g. Anyone have feed back on that?

Also I can't remember, is there a rule of thumb for skimmers? As in buy one 2x your tank size???

Have a look at the Deltec MCE 600s fantastic skimmer. Worked a treat on my 55 for a couple of yrs.

Starting back up soon and wouldnt dream of changing skimmers. Like someone else said always go bigger over skimming is a good thing IMHO.
