Cheato growing very fast

My cheato is growing about three times its size in about a month. It is very green in color. What causes or helps this to happen?

its doing its job, eating up nutrients in the tank. now all you have to do is get rid of those nutrients. this is done, (i do every 2 months, you will find a good time for you) is cut it in about half and sell it or throw it out, thus removing the excess nutrients out of the tank.

What kind of lighting do you use? And what is the flow rate over your cheato... slow.. fast? And is it being tumbled by flow or by you if at all?

Thanks.

Keep in mind I have a 2 1/2 gallon HOB fuge. Slow flow and no tumble.

I went from this bulb

If you have a hard time it mean your water is in check, since i have little to no nutrients my cheato has a stead and slow growth but still grows but when my tank was cycling man did it let go, i even had tons to share!
