How Aggressive Are Purple Stripe Pseudos?
I hear they are aggressive and will defend themselves. I'm planning on adding a fish to a 25g with two already aggressive fish (TOMATO and DAMSEL)
Pls advise if this guy can hang |

I think you'll be fine. The damsel and tomato are toughies. I'd be more concerned about the pseudo nipping at inverts like shrimp.

I have a coral banded shrimp in there, and a hitchhiker urchin I thought they'd only go after ghost shrimp and whatnot?

My purple stripe is in a 30g with a tomato, yellow watchman, mandarin, coral banded shrimp, and he doesn't mess with anything. I was kind of mad when I first bought him because the LFS said he would be very docile. Well, when I looked him up, it said they can be aggressive. I haven't seen it yet.

I have had one for about 3 years now. It doesn't mess with anything at all in the tank right now. But I wouldn't dare try and add another fish with either yellow or purple in it. IMO Once established they are fine with other tankmates. I have 4 shrimp and he has never even looked at them to my knowledge. But if I would try and add another fish he would kill it I am sure of it. I added a six line about 8 months ago and it took him at least 5 months to leave him alone. He just couldn't catch the six line so he made it. They can be very very agressive.
