lighting ?
I will first start off with my greatest unknown is lighting for tanks.
Recently I had to break down my 12 nano. The hood was upgraded to the 96 watt nanocustom kit. I moved all my coral from the tank (zoas and gsp) to my 37 gallon tank which only has a dual current sattelite fixture. I think it has 2 50/50 65 watt cf bulbs. I am not sure if that is enough lighting or if I should add more. I also have 2 coralife fixtures that hold 2 t5 bulbs each. I think they each have 1 24 watt 1k and 1 24watt atinic and one of them would also fit on top the tank along with the dual sattelite fixture. I have hopes of building this tank up to be a reef tank but might jump up in size within the next year or so. If my lighting is adequate for now thats great. I would rather not have to invest in anything that could not be used with future growth. I have also found it hard to find lighting for my tank due to its size. It is 30" in length not the standard 36". Any thoughts here? Last edited by celtic_Dude; 07/03/2008 at 05:17 AM. |
