Transfering water from 30gallon to 55gallon tank+sump
As the title says I have a 30 gallon tank and next week I'll be putting everything in my new 55 gallon+sump tank.
What is the best way to do this?? I currently have saltwater in a large container waiting to be put in the new tank. Before I put it in, should I take 10% of my current tank water and mix it with the new saltwater. If so should I do this 2 or 3 times before I put the fish in. Also for my new tank I will be using a different salt brand Oceanic instead of Marinium. Will this cause any problems for the fish or corals mixing the different salts together at the start? Thanks guys |

Be aware that this upgrade has a good chance of starting a new cycle. I would do good water changes b4 in the 30 gallon and then transfer as much of that water as possible into the new tank.
