Wish the directions for my skimmer gave some direction.

Yesterday I got a Red Sea Prizm Pro. Problem is it is my first skimmer and I have no clue how to make it work. I know how to adjust the water and air flow. I just don't know what I am adjusting them to. I played with it and I got bubbles pouring into the collection cup. I know this is wrong. Also it pours microbubbles into the tank So I backed the air flow and water flow down to get the foam just above the bottom of the collection cups. Less bubbles but not by much. I have heard they need time to break in but were talking foggy look there are so many bubbles. I know how to adjust water and air. So if some could give me the easy version of start up. Like your bubbly foam should be at what level. I also was considering putting a old shirt sleeve for the water to run through to strain out bubbles would this work. Ghetto I know but if it just needs to break in I can be ghetto for a little while.
