looking for those "monkey bars" people hang their lights from...

Do you guys know what I'm talking about? They're generally a curved pole with some type of horizontal "T" to hang the light from.

They attach to the bottom base of the stand via some type of load bearing bracket and curve over the top of the tank.

The solana is a similar example.

What are my options, where can I find them and are they usually expensive?

yeah I am ok with an industrial look as far as nuts and bolts, but I want something a little classier along the lines of a brushed nickel.

ideas?

I think that the manufacturer of the Zero Edge tanks sells those.

yeah thats what im looking for.

jesus its so expensive.

I can build one for 10 bucks if i wanted to do black like that.

perhaps I wont be able to get the brushed nickel look I want.

my only concern is how I would add the T part with out welding to the 2 support bars?

Here's a cheaper one if it works for you. I use this one for my tortoise's heat lamp.

Its still black though. I don't think I've seen a brushed nickel one unfortunately (it would have been my preference too).

Wow much cheaper. But how durable is that?

I'm going to be hanging a 24" all-in one unit, so its going to be kind of heavy.

I'd figure I would need two main support poles anyways.

I've only seen the brushed nickel via the Solana, I may have to switch over to black if there arent any options?

Its definitely not as sturdy as the zero edge stuff (by a long shot). I hang a single clamp lamp with a ceramic bulb from it. Its sturdy enough for that. I think a halide pendant would be fine from it, beyond that you're probably pushing it.

Alright I will just focus on having my buddy who is an electrical pipe fitter just build me something since there doesnt seem to be any pre-made options that arent 10 million dollars.

I understand that! I wanted one of those lamptrees, but for $200 I'll pass.
