Tank cloudy

I just set up a 220 gallon saltwater tank and I was wondering how long will it take for the cloudiness to go away? A day or two?

Sometimes hours sometimes days.

that is the short answer I have seen when people ask this.
My 10 gallon cleared in 20 minutes and I did not rinse the sand. But I did mix the water in a seperate bucket.

It will depend on you salt mix and sand.

Plus you'll get some residue on the glass from the sand that will make it look cloudier that it is after a day wipe the inside of the glass.

As long as you don't have a powerhead aimed at the sand bed then it should clear up between 1 and 7 days.
