Sand Bed
Ok I have 90 Gallon tank I am pretty sure I need about 100lbs of base or so..
I am planning to put the Live rock in first then fill around with Bed. Would a 2" bed be good enough? and I don't really want to use Live Sand how critical is Live Sand?? |

Not critical at all. But why dont you want to use live sand? What do you plan on using? I would use some sort of aragonite sand. And by the way, any sand you use will eventually become "live" sand anyway. Maybe this answered your question but I answered as best I could.

You don't need live sand. It will help to seed it if you can get a cup of live sand from an established tank. 2" sand bed should work just fine for you.

yeah I actually just found a Thread right after I posted this... lol.. I only really want enough to cover the BB. I might just go buy about 40lbs of White aragonite.. and be done with it... I will be adding it at the same time as the live rock..
