Good or Bad way to hook up Recirculating Skimmer

So this is how I decided to hook the skimmer (DNW-200) up anything that would make this setup not work down the road. Its hooked up to a mag 9.5 return. Originally was diverted into the black trash bin. Now the tank gets to much flow and to the skimmer not really sure how much its getting. Skimmer is new so still breaking in. Also was thinking of redoing plumbing and adding another TEE off for better flow control to tank/skimmer/etc...

Heres some shots of E-shopps PF-800 (rated for 800gph) overflow box. Had to double the U-tubes or else it wouldn't skim the surface.

Surface skimming

Water crashing down into drain. Before had a PVC stand riser on but water kept rising too high. Didn't want it overflowing the overflow box.
