emerald eating mushroom
I cought my emerald crab eating (nibbling) on my mushroom frag.Is this their normal behavior?I was told they were completely reef safe?Thanks,Lee

I don't think it's normal and no they are not completely reefsafe but usually that is a sign there is no more algae to eat so they have to munch on something else

Yeah, the only reason why I think emerald crabs attack corals is because they have nothing else to eat. I've never in my life had an emerald crab eat my corals.
I wish it could trim my xenias every now and then though =\ |

yes, it was definitely picking at it ,she took a nice little chunk off of it.Maybe it was just a fluke because there is plenty enough algae left (I believe) I will just have to keep an eye on her for a while,thanks for the feedback
