controller for heater

I'm really having trouble regulating my temp. The heater is ample but the thermostat and adjustment is to variable. Sometimes it sticks on sometimes it sticks off. Only two months into this so Im still trying to piece it together. What kind of options do I have for an inline controller and what kind of price range do they have?

Ranco or Aqua Logic, both about the same, around a hundred bucks but well worth it. I always suggest to read Beans article on heaters. Go to more articles and look for the one on heaters.

I got my Aqua Logic from a fellow reefer new for $40. He was using a Reefkeeper, and it came with his chiller.
Look around, and you will find one for a bargain. You wont regret it.

I like the ranco myself. I have been using the dual version for 2 years and never had a problem. I run my fans and heaters off of it to keep my temp stable.

Ranco and Aqualogic are almost identical in looks and function. I wouldn't b suprised if they were made by the same company.
