Temp 80 degrees
pH 8.2 Ammonia 0 Nitrate 0 Nitrite 0 SG 1.025 Phosphate .03 It was leaning on a rock for a few days in the middle of the tank when I noticed one of the torch's was gone and, I moved it into the sand. I'm not sure if it was the cleaning crew or the urchins.

I had the same issue with mine.
I have 3 stalks. 2 are fine but the middle is gone. My stalks have even started to multiply. |

I find torch coral to be very interesting. I had a 2 head frag about 3 months that had long stringy polyps. It did well for about a week then just receded and died for no good reason (all parameters checked out).
Most torch coral that I see online or at the LFS have long stringy polyps. My new frag however has thick, robust, long polyps that resemble a plate coral. IMO I think its luck of the draw. Alex |

Torch corals can be hard to keep. Feeding them helps as well.

I have two Koralia 3's. One on the top rightside and the other on the middle left side of the tank. The Torch used to be near the top right Koralia, until I moved it.

Was the problem polyp leaning against the rock? I've found that once damaged, euphyllia sps. polyps often don't recover.

My guess is the tissue got torn or damaged. Keep an eye on it, and be sure to keep LPS with big, inflated lobes (Euphyllia, Trachyphyllia, etc.) away from sharp edges than can damage damage them
