Coral feeding

i've had a 90 gallon system set up for over a year now and have recently started adding corals which are all doing really well without feeding except for an open brain coral (Trachyphyllia radiata) which was the biggest i'd ever seen for sale up until about a week ago when it stopped expanding at all. It's colours are still bright and it doesn't appear to be receeding but any tips would be much appreciated.

You need to feed open brains and the frequency depends on things like the type of tank you have, how you feed your tank, if you have a fuge and type of lighting. Most brains can fend for themselves with good lighting, live bed and what not...

However, all that being said, you should feed you open brain at least once a week. I do it by cutting a liter soda bottle in half and put over the coral. I then use a target feeder and feed the brain a combination of cyclops, finely chopped mysis and baby bryne.

You need to leave the bottle covering the coral on for a good hour or more as these corals feed very slowly and they need time to eat without any fish or inverts bothering it.

Do this once a week and you will have very happy and healthy brains
