cpr bakpak 2 not working any more
i think this is actually related to my algae post below, but ever since i moved my hob skimmer to my fuge, it's been getting waay less skimmate, and i see almost no bubbles moving up to the collection cup. should the fact that it's on the fuge have any impact on collection? is that skimmer considered good for a 55g system?
idears?

55 gallons is probably a little much for that skimmer.
I would clean the pump and the air intake. These skimmers are pretty touchy and I was always able to solve my issues with a good cleaning. As long as you have pretty good flow in the fuge it should be fine. If the water level changed, that may be affecting the bubble production as well. |

I have the same skimmer, mine will stop skimming if I dont clean out the tapered portion of the cup pretty regularly. If youre not seeing any bubbles, I'd check to see if the air line is clogged with salt creep.

Take the pump and let it soak in half vinegar and half tap water. After that rinse and let dry. This may help
