hqi ballast? HID power double ended bulbs?

Wanting to know if anyone has used a DXE HID ballast to power an hqi double ended bulb from ballastwise.com? It says electronic ballast in the PDF specifications, I just dont know what the X in the DXE means?
Says input watts on the 150watt ballast are 160 watts, and I read somwhere that the output to the bulb is exact. That means it wouldnt shorten the lifespan of the bulb.
I remember someone breaking down metal hailde figures and saying what numbers powered what bulbs, ballast output, and so on, but I cant find it.
