pvc cement reef safe
I used pvc cement to fix a leak and to secure a connection on one of my reactors and put a bit too much on it. I tried to remove the excess but there is quite a bit extra on it. After it dries and cures is it reef safe? One of those dumb things you do and then think later uh oh. I am ok or should I just replace the lid?

Should be fine. Let it completely dry & rinse well.

I have a dozen PVC joints in my system that are covered with the stuff and after it dried it has not caused any problems. I have healthy reef.

it is an organic solvent so once it dries it is safe.........when it is wet it will kill things
what is does: PVC is poly vinyl chloride so what it does is unwinds the chlorine atoms and binds them together.............. so your safe once it dries in like 20mins- 120mins........basically when it doesnt smell anymore...................
