Bright green worm???

what is this bright green worm running all over the rocks..... big in size and fast!Help!

some more info would be helpful. how long have you had your tank? have you just added livestock or rock? does you worm hide from the light or a brave soldier with no fear. would it be possibe to get a pic?

Google 'bristleworm' for a pic, and tell us how yours looks different. Better yet, post a pic of yours. And if you can't do either of those, invest in a few good adjectives and run those by us.

Yes, they are harmless scavengers that clean up uneaten food and waste, as long as they aren't the predatory type (which are active during the day, larger and less common).

Don't touch bristleworms if you can avoid it. The bristles will stick in your flesh and hurt, similar to fiberglass.

If you ever get stung by one, just soak the affected area in vinegar for 5 minutes. The needles will dissolve completely.
