Brain is dead. :(
So, The brain is pretty much dead.
Should I get it out of my tank? Just asking because I know that a dead starfish left in a tank isn't good either. |

If all or most of the flesh appears dead, then take it out. Anything decaying in your tank will add pollutants.

What about the piece of rock is it attached to? Can I use that later on?

Of course.
The only thing you need to remove is the dying flesh of the coral. The coral's skeleton and the rock it's attached to are fine to leave in the tank.
