Breaking ceramic frag plugs

So I know with aragocrete based plugs you can break off the plug portion fairly easily, allowing you to place it in/on undrilled rockwork fairly easily. Also useful for when you want to propagate encrusting montis by quartering the plug, then gluing each quarter onto a new plug.

For ceramic disks, can it be done the same way? I have some Oceans Wonders plugs at home, but I wanted to know other peoples experiences trying to break the ceramic plugs, and how well it went.

I also ask since I'm about to buy another ~200 plugs and I was just curious to know for that reason also.

I know, I should make my own, but I don't exactly have the space to make them or the time to cure them, and rubble is just a little to expensive and I like fitting plugs into eggcrate.

Thanks!
